About Lisa - Director/OT.
With over 19 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, I've had the privilege of working with diverse individuals and communities across Australia. My journey began with a deep curiosity about the human experience, leading me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy), prior to undertaking a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) and Graduate Certificate in Mental Health. This foundation, coupled with my travels and diverse work experiences, has shaped my passion for supporting people from all walks of life, particularly those facing complex challenges or navigating neurodiversity.
I believe that everyone possesses unique strengths, and my approach as an OT is to uncover and celebrate those strengths, tailoring my support to each individual's specific needs and aspirations. I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive and holistic approach that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives. I deeply understand the profound impact that environments have on well-being, and I work collaboratively with my clients to adapt their surroundings to enhance their daily lives.
I value authenticity above all else, and believe in the power of each individual's narrative and the importance of crafting interventions that resonate with their personal values. I believe that engaging in meaningful activity is essential for our well-being. When we participate in activities that align with our values and interests, we experience a sense of flow, purpose, and fulfilment. This flow state not only enriches our daily lives but also contributes to a greater sense of overall well-being. I'm dedicated to helping individuals identify and engage in activities that spark joy and meaning for them. I am passionately committed to supporting and advocating for marginalized members of our community, championing inclusion, self-determination, and access to meaningful opportunities.
